Cast Resin Insulation and Aluminum Winding
The transformer uses a cast resin insulation system to encapsulate and protect the windings. Compared with oil-filled insulation systems, cast resin construction eliminates insulating oil and reduces the risk of oil leakage.
The solid resin insulation also provides mechanical protection for the windings and is suitable for installations where fire safety and environmental considerations are important.
The Aluminum Winding configuration provides a practical solution for medium-voltage distribution transformers. Conductor dimensions, insulation structure and thermal design are selected according to the required electrical parameters and project specifications.
AN/AF Forced-Air Cooling for Higher Thermal Performance
This 630 kVA dry-type transformer adopts AN/AF cooling, combining natural air cooling with forced-air cooling through integrated fans.
Under normal operating conditions, the transformer operates with natural air circulation. When additional cooling capacity is required, the fans increase airflow around the transformer and improve heat dissipation.
AN/AF cooling provides additional thermal flexibility for applications involving higher loads, variable load conditions, limited ventilation or elevated ambient temperatures.
Dry-Type Transformer Applications in Albania and Europe
The 630 kVA 20/0.4 kV cast resin dry-type transformer is suitable for:
· Industrial plants and manufacturing facilities
· Commercial buildings and business complexes
· Indoor substations
· Electrical rooms
· Hospitals and public infrastructure
· Shopping centers and hotels
· Renewable energy distribution systems
· Medium-voltage distribution networks
The oil-free construction makes cast resin transformers particularly suitable for installations where fire safety, environmental considerations and reduced maintenance are important.
